IDB Extends the Functionality of PULSE with Custom Enhancements

IDB enlists the help of App-X to extend the functionality of its PULSE platform

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) has reengaged with Application Experts to extend the functionality of their PULSE system. IDB's Opportunities for the Majority office has been using PULSE for almost two years and was interested in adding pipeline tracking, progress reporting, and their grant as well as investment portfolio to their PULSE system.

In tracking their pipeline through PULSE, IDB is now able to automatically produce templates and data on each of its investment and grant projects. This allows them to easily compare and determine where their money can have the greatest impact. Adapting IRIS to the grant portfolio required close interaction with IRIS working groups to introduce some new metrics and definitions needed to capture the objectives of the grants, but the standards proved very useful and agile and now the entire OMJ portfolio is reporting through PULSE.

PULSE also now allows organizations in which IDB has invested to enter progress reports into the PULSE database, providing IDB with the current status of projects each organization is working on.

Established in 1959, IDB supports efforts by Latin America and the Caribbean countries to reduce poverty and inequality by bringing about development in a sustainable, climate-friendly way. IDB is the largest source of development financing for Latin America and the Caribbean, with a strong commitment to achieve measurable results, increased integrity, transparency and accountability.
