IEC Announces Apprentice Essay Contest Winners
ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 13, 2018 (Newswire.com) - This year IEC sponsored its 10th annual Apprentice Essay Contest and received more than 70 submissions.
IEC Central Ohio, AEC-IEC apprentices had a strong showing this year, winning grand prize along with second and third places. Joyce Fischmann of IEC Central Ohio AEC-IEC is the first female apprentice to win the grand prize in the contest's history.
Winners of the 2018 Apprentice Essay Contest are:
- Grand Prize: Joyce Fischmann, IEC Central Ohio, AEC-IEC
- First Place: Jose Garcia, IEC San Antonio
- Second Place: Scott McCallum, IEC Central Ohio, AEC-IEC
- Third Place: Curtis Payne, IEC Central Ohio, AEC-IEC
- Fourth Place: Jonathan Harrell, IEC Southern Colorado
The contest was open to all IEC fourth-year apprentices. Entries were judged on originality, creativity, quality of work, and sincerity.
The grand prize winner will receive a $250 Visa® gift card. Each runner up will receive a $100 Visa® gift card. Each winner's essay will be published in "Insights" magazine and on www.ieci.org.
