iFlightPlanner.com V3.0 Released, Enhances iFlightPlanner Premium

iFlightPlanner upgrades the core of its integrated flight planning solution, releases major enhancements to iFlightPlanner.com.

iFlightPlanner is proud to announce that iFlightPlanner.com, the core of its integrated flight planning solution, has been upgraded to v3.0. Countless tweaks and numerous upgrades have been seamlessly incorporated as part of this release to make planning with iFlightPlanner better than ever!

These new features are part of "iFlightPlanner.com v3.0", and were the direct result of interactions the iFlightPlanner staff had with users since iFlightPlanner for iPad presented by Sennheiser was introduced at EAA's AirVenture last summer. "User feedback has been the foundation of iFlightPlanner's growth since day one," said Andy Matthews, a private pilot and iFlightPlanner's Director of Business Development. "Our entire staff makes itself available to our members, and through these conversations we learn exactly how to make a pilot's experience with iFlightPlanner the best it can be."

iFlightPlanner Premium, an additional feature set available to members through monthly, quarterly, or annual subscriptions, received several new features in addition to the weight & balance calculator, custom waypoints utility and enhanced digital logbook already included with an iFlightPlanner Premium membership.

NEW! iFlightPlanner Premium Features

• Use latitude/longitude coordinates and custom waypoints as a departure or destination
• Export navigation logs to .GPX or Garmin .FPL files
• Identify custom waypoints by name in navigation logs
• Print passenger briefing sheets with flight information
• Store an unlimited number of aircraft profiles
• Log aircraft maintenance events and other details
• Create single or recurring aircraft tasks with email reminders
• Import and export digital pilot logbooks

"Enhancing iFlightPlanner Premium was a priority in this release," said John Burnside, iFlightPlanner's Director of Technology. "Aside from the ability to export navigation logs to an avionics-compatible file, I'm most excited about the ability for pilots, especially those flying helicopters and sea planes, to easily set latitude/longitude coordinates and custom waypoints as a departure or destination! It's a unique feature to iFlightPlanner."

All users gain access to a new set of flight planning features that enhance the overall experience with iFlightPlanner's intuitive Flight Wizard TM as well.

NEW! iFlightPlanner Free Features

• Compare multiple altitudes for time & fuel efficiency
• Plan FAA Preferred & Coded Departure Routes
• File ICAO domestic & international flight plans
• File to/from the Washington D.C. SRFA
• Filter alternate airports by distance and minimum runway length
• Save preferred aircraft with favorite routes
• Create new flights from routes previously flown
• Reverse routes & add additional legs with layovers

In addition to the flight planning features, iFlightPlanner added the ability for pilots to customize their planning experience by adding or removing steps from the Flight Wizard TM.

"Everything we do at iFlightPlanner is geared towards helping pilots plan more efficiently and fly safer," Matthews added. "We believe we've done that with this release and look forward to continuing the conversation with our members to shape future versions of iFlightPlanner!"

"You can never have too much information while planning a flight, and the number of places needed to gather this info can be overwhelming. I now have it all in one location. This is one powerful tool that provides airline quality dispatch services to the general aviation pilot, even while on the go. Others have tried to offer this, but none have had it as easy to use as iFlightPlanner!" - Tim W., Private IFR Pilot
