FRESNO, CA - The International Green Industry Hall of Fame (IGIHOF) announced today that it is taking the next step in a progressive "Green Movement" from Fresno, California to an international level. Nominations are being accepted for the "I-G" award, which recognizes industry organizations and individuals from all over the globe for outstanding achievement in the green industry.

The nomination process is simple, with opportunities available in virtually every industry category, including: agriculture, construction, energy, finance and entertainment. Businesses and organizations are encouraged to self-nominate.

"We wanted to create a platform to showcase environmental sustainability on an international level and celebrate those successes." said Sam Geil, IGIHOF Chairman. "Our goal is to gain nominations from organizations all over the world that are practicing green in the work environment, and recognize them for their outstanding initiatives in saving our eco-system," Geil added.

The International Green Industry Hall of Fame will accept nominations now until September 30, 2010. An advisory board will review all the applicants and determine those who have taken the biggest step in "Going Green."

In addition to the Hall of Fame, IGIHOF's mission is to provide and educational forum for the public. A nonprofit organization, IGIHOF values transparency, commitment, honesty, integrity and respect that add legitimacy to green businesses. The "I-G" award is meant to reward companies for helping save our fragile environment, so organizations can take pride in protecting our planet while offering their own products or services.
