Online, November 4, 2011 (Newswire.com) - It was an enlightening experience for students of IIBR Pune to visit the Rangsit Campus of Bangkok University. The original campus is located in the central business district of Bangkok while the Rangsit campus is an extension t it, located in Pathum Thani.
It has the students from first and second years. IIBR Pune students, on their arrival, were warmly welcomed by the campus authorities. There was an interesting interaction between IIBR students and Mrs. Panadda Unyapho, Director of International Affairs Office. Bangkok University. The discussion was about the higher education in Thailand with specific reference to Ph. D programs.
Bangkok University has much to offer to students on the lookout for quality higher education. Ph.D programs are available for all streams and students from other countries can pursue higher doctoral education in Bangkok for better career prospects. The cost of living is also not very high in Bangkok, which is perfect for students coming there from other countries. This makes it a perfect education hub.
The discussion was full of great insight about Thailand as a country and what it offers to students flowing in from all parts of the world. The talk ended with a lively question answer round where IIBR students clarified their doubts and queries about higher education in Bangkok, Thailand.
The IIBR students also got a chance to interact with Dr Penjira Kanthawongs, Assistant Dean, School of Business Administration, Bangkok University. Dr Kanthawongs gave a very insightful presentation on teachings and learning of School of Business Administration.
It was followed by a campus tour for IIBR students, which included a visit to Surat Osathanugrah Library and the Southeast Asian Ceramics Museum. It was a wonderful experience for the IIBR Pune students to have interacted with these eminent personalities from Bangkok University and to have visited the state-of-the-art campus of the Bangkok University.
