IIS Group Acquires Techquip Group Creating Mechanical and Power Products Division
Online, May 31, 2010 (Newswire.com) - May 2010 King of Prussia, PA: The integration of Techquip Group, a Manufacturer's Representative with focus on precision mechanical and power products, and IIS Group, a leading technology infrastructure and unified communication solutions provider was completed in Q1 2010. The strategic acquisition enables IIS Group to further its positioning within the blended IT and Facilities space, engage the engineering segment, and build out data center related initiatives. The combined company is currently headquartered in King of Prussia, PA. A move to larger facilities is planned in the first quarter of 2011. The new facility will house office space, a "Hands On" demo room, test bay, and warehouse.
More and more organizations are looking for services and solutions that require a unified effort of IT and Facilities. This results from an increase in the need for efficiency oriented solutions such as energy and resource conservation, infrastructure and communications unification, and overall infrastructure optimization. With the addition of Techquip Group's product lines, IIS Group has the capability to implement and manage data center energy and infrastructure initiatives from concept to conclusion.
For more than 20 years, Techquip Group has offered mechanical and power products from APC, Carel, Synapsense, Canatal, PermAlert, and more to a wide base of corporate clients. The company has extensive relationships with corporate facilities personnel, architect and engineering firms as well as contractors.
Anthony Jett, President IIS Group: " The addition of Techquip Group furthers our positioning as a complete provider of data center solutions and services. Where many companies offer only one aspect or another, IIS Group can design, implement, and provide management solutions in a completely turn-key fashion for corporate customers. We intend to continue our acquisition activity to build out product lines and services that will optimize data center environments and increase ROI for customers."
John Pisklak, President, Techquip: "I knew joining Techquip Group and IIS Group would be the best move for both the company and our clients. We saw the additional need to extend further into the data center, but lacked the resources to do so. With IIS Group, we jointly will be able to provide the best solutions for our clients."
IIS Group will be launching a series of marketing initiatives to apprise customers of the newly expanded product line. Initiatives include a series of campaigns, company outreach, and conference briefings.
