ILC Dover Launches Specialty Materials Services Group

Online, June 15, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Frederica, DE- ILC Dover, the company that manufactures spacesuits for NASA, announced today they have created a Specialty Materials Services Group. Services offered will include R&D focused on the creation of advanced coated fabrics and barrier films. Leveraging experience gained in developing drug product contact and storage films for the pharmaceutical industry, the design and production of advanced films meeting a wide range of regulatory directives will be one of the featured services.

As part of this service package, the company will offer a range of materials testing and analysis capabilities including physical property testing, advanced thermal analysis and microscopy. Assistance with technology transfer from R&D to scale-up will also be provided.
