Importance Of Databases In RIFT

Ehh... I'm really missing the days before data mining And you really can't say "then just don't use it", because everyone else is using it, and they will be gauging your worth based on it. Please, please, please, no cross realm LFD or GS.

Cross Realm BG's are bad enough.
It is easy to fix. Unlike they aren't collecting that data anyway so it'd just be a display, Trion should just offer a website which presents average queue times at various times of the day per server. Then it should allow people to free xfer one toon with a 60-90 day cooldown. In that time frame if they want to xfer more toons, then charging the additional fee is needed. Or whatever keeps the $15 fee "average", just do the rest of it. Naturally servers would balance out as players who really cared about their BG queues would shift towards servers with either a shorter queue or a more organized PvP group. Same with LFD show an average time wait for LFD and keep it server based.
The sense of community on a server is completely gone from WoW. Blizzard has said they're trying to make their game social etc. etc. but then they ignore this fundamental aspect of their MMO that they've been deteriorating for years. That wouldn't be completely bad if they didn't have so many road blocks out there in getting all your friends on the same server, or LFD allowing you to group up specifically with your friends on other servers, or many other issues.
The birds and beasts tell me of your woes though you have called me enemy. My heart goes out to you as a fellow guardian of the wild. I also know a loved one's betrayal sting. Your Priestess Shyla has always been too desire to together with the Mathosians. Now she has returned from the dead. And she claimed this was your gods help her, and yet... there is but one force I know that can animate the dead, and Regulos is his name.
Prince, we don't need to be enemies. We have a common love of nature and the pristine wilds shared, and even a common loathing of the Guardians. They manage to blend the stink of death with the pomposity of religion. You remind me very much of the magnificent Fae- such as myself- who hail from the deepest parts of the Plane of Life. Even now, I have access to power that would save your beautiful Silverwood with ease. The only thing you should do is ask.
Blizzard has forgotten the difference between a population and a community, and it's, imo, the biggest problem with WoW right now.
A good thing of an MMO is Databases. It's good to be able to reference a wide variety of different data on the fly when you have buckets of different items, quests, stats, enemies, bosses, and so on. Wowhead is pretty much the gold standard for database services, giving World of Warcraft players the opportunity to use talent calculators, compare items, and browse a comprehensive quest database with ease. ZAM which is the parent company of Wowhead is porting that same all-encompassing database over to RIFT with today's launch of the appropriately named [url: http://www.blog2net.com/rsgold]RIFT Database.
It already includes a robust listing of abilities though the system has just gone live, items, and quests for players' browsing, details on the various collections available in-game as well Complete with a soul calculator, the new repository of knowledge should be welcome for any. At the same time all RIFT players are looking for quick and easy reference. About the only thing it currently lacks is an option for integration into browser, but if it is given time, it seems inevitable that the database will just keep improving.
I had fun in my lowie days, even when I was getting ganked in Moreheim. It was a kind of exciting to be minding my own business gathering or questing, then suddenly get ganked with no chance of winning. The good thing is that there is no real penalty for death by PvP, just having to run back to where you were. The bad thing was when it happened over and over until you realized that you'd better just take a break, because the rifters were there.
Anyhow, game players enjoy playing Rift. As we know, money is king for people, so is game currency. In Rift, you can many useful things with [url: http://www.mmoxe.com/RIFT/]rift plat, like doing in life reality.
