The process itself was long and arduous. IMRB in partnership with process partners Ernst & Young were appointed to do the job. It involved tabulating responses from 253 respondents, all of who belonged to the ET500 listing of India's top conglomerates. They ranked the B-Schools they actually recruited from and based on the performance of the employees. Considerations for the rankings included technical knowledge, professionalism and readiness for corporate life.
Fool proof, the ranking system was accurate, deep and went into several aspects of the managers recruited from the various business schools that dot the country.
The survey reiterated the belief that students must follow their passion, be deeply committed and the rest would follow.
