IMT-Nagpur Boosts International Connection With Link To Australia?s MACQUARIE UNIVERSITY
Expanding its already large list of international academic links, Institute of Management Technology, Nagpur has signed a Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) with Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia.
Online, July 5, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Expanding its already large list of international academic links, Institute of Management Technology, Nagpur has signed a Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) with Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia.
Under the agreement, the two institutes have agreed to develop academic co-operation and exchange programs, including student and faculty exchange, joint research and conferences.
In addition to agreeing to faculty exchange, graduating student and research scholar exchange and joint conferences, the institutes will conduct joint research in business management, including higher degree research programs. While commenting on the nature of the collaboration, Prof. Rajanandan Patnaik, Chairperson, International Relations remarked- ?All our MOUs are built on goodwill and binding in honor. Since 2007 Macquarie has consistently moved up the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Academic Rankings of World Universities and in a recent Excellence in Research for Australia exercise performed by the Australian Government, five of its research areas - Earth Sciences, Physical Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Biological Sciences, and Psychology and Cognitive Sciences - were noted for their ?outstanding performance well above world standard.? Macquarie was also recently named as the top university in Australia for research in environmental science and ecology based on the number of citations per researcher.
