A Blog 'Celebration' that commemorates the Tenth Anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy by taking one small step to promote Peace, Brotherhood and Sisterhood among people of different faiths and beliefs.

In a world where religious differences continue to trigger incessant anger, hatred and violence, Andrew Cort's Blog, "Spirituality and Religion", is commemorating the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy by celebrating the underlying decency, genuine wisdom, and spiritual unity, that exists within and among the world's diverse cultures and faiths. The goal is to help bring about a new level of trust, understanding and friendship between members of different religions.

Cort has contacted authors, filmmakers, musicians and artists who are creating work in support of unity, friendship, spiritual wisdom, and intercultural understanding, and he's gathered them together to contribute excerpts of their work to the celebration. Some of the contributors include: Alexandra Villard de Borchgrave, Ervin Laszlo and Allan Combs (writing about the late Thomas Berry), Louise Hay, Andrew Bowen, Susan B. Hamilton, Cheryl Richardson, Kell Kearns, Alice O. Howell, Saleem Ahmed, Thomas Wyllie, Zayra Yves, Carrol Parrish, and many others.

Alongside each day's contribution, there will be a Giveaway Contest to win a free copy of that day's featured book, dvd, etc. (To enter, readers must simply write a Comment on the Blog Post, and one lucky commenter's name will be drawn at random and win that day's prize. Readers will have 72 hours after a post is featured to write their comment.)

The "Celebration of Spiritual and Religious Unity, Wisdom and Friendship" runs continuously from September 1st to September 30th at www.Spirituality-and-Religion.com.

(Dr. Andrew Cort is the author of "THE PURPOSE OF RELIGION: Enlightenment, Meaning and Love in Jewish, Christian and Islamic Symbology". "This fascinating book takes us to the inner sanctum of spiritual meaning. It demonstrates the senseless absurdity of religious hatred and bigotry, and is filled with amazing insights into scriptural passages that have perplexed generations of scholars. I was especially moved by his exploration of the Sacred Feminine." - Rev. Janet E. McKinstry)
