Incentive Marketing Association Awards CPIM Designation to Three Recipients
Online, August 22, 2012 (Newswire.com) - -The Incentive Marketing Association (IMA) has made it a focus to help its members attain status through the Certified Professional of Incentive Management (CPIM) program, a comprehensive professional designation. This year three IMA members have achieved this status.
The CPIM certification recognizes individuals in the incentive field who have met a predetermined level of training and work experience and who demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the incentive field. The incentive marketing professionals were presented with the CPIM certification at a special ceremony at the IMA's Annual Summit Meeting in Washington DC in July.
To earn the CPIM designation, candidates must demonstrate their leadership activity and commitment to continuing education in the incentive field, pass an intensive exam on the principles of results-based incentive program design, and develop a white paper or seminar on a topic relevant to the incentive field. These resources are reviewed and approved by an independent evaluation team. CPIM recipients are required to renew their certification status every three years. This year's recipients include:
• Heidi Chatfield from All Star Incentive Marketing in Fiskdale, MA for co-authoring "Who is in control of your employee's behavior? The Locus of Control Impact."
• Allison Wooten from All Star Incentive Marketing in Fiskdale, MA for co-authoring "Who is in control of your employee's behavior? The Locus of Control Impact."
• Juan Manuel Valenzuela Pous from Above Target in Mexico for "Getting the Details Right to Assure Incentive Program Quality and Success."
"The IMA's Certified Professional of Incentive Management (CPIM) acknowledges incentive professionals who demonstrate the knowledge and leadership essential to succeed in the incentive industry. In order to achieve this designation, participants must go through a rigorous application process put in place by the IMA," said IMA Executive Director Karen Renk, CAE. "This year's recipients demonstrated an impressive knowledge base of our industry."
The CPIM certification is available to any individual active in the incentive field that is interested in furthering their knowledge and expertise in the use of incentive programs as business tools. Details about the CPIM program are available at www.incentivemarketing.org.
