Independence University Offers Full-Tuition Grants to Clinical Training Partners
Independence University (IU) offers full tuition grants to its clinical training partners. As part of the Clinical Partner Benefits program, IU offers full tuition education grants to staff members of its clinical partners.
Online, October 21, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Clinical training forms an important and intrinsic part of most healthcare-related educational programs. Recognizing the contribution of its clinical affiliates in promoting healthcare education, Independence University (IU) has decided to offer full tuition grants to its clinical training partners.
IU's clinical partners help IU's Respiratory Therapy students fulfill their clinical training requirements by creating clinical training spots for them in their facilities. The university, on its part, has launched the Clinical Partner Benefits program to reward its affiliates for taking this initiative.
As part of the Clinical Partner Benefits program, Independence University offers full tuition education grants to hospital managers, administrators, and other staff members of its clinical partners. This means that they can enroll at no charge in any of the Associate's, Bachelor's, and Master's programs in Healthcare or Business at IU. ( http://www.independence.edu/newsletter/IUNL0608.pdf )
With an increasing number of Respiratory Therapy students needing clinical training, the university has made it clear that it is willing to offer free degrees to its partners who provide clinical training sites to IU's graduates. ( http://www.independence.edu/newsletter/IUNL0608.pdf )
Apart from educational grants, the Partner Benefits program also includes adjunct faculty appointments for the clinical affiliates' staff at the university, complementary online training materials, in-depth online preceptor training, and tuition discounts.
IU has an educational partnership with over 500 hospitals and healthcare units across the U.S. to provide IU's healthcare students the necessary clinical instruction and externships. The university currently offers two programs in Respiratory Therapy - a Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care and Associate of Science in Advanced Respiratory Therapy.
The Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy was recently accorded a freestanding accreditation status by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC). It's the first such accreditation of its kind to be awarded to an online ASRT program.
