Online, April 3, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Pitch and Putt is the newest form of Golf, which is spreading as most favored outdoor sport. Royal and Ancient Golf Course of St. Andrews (R&A) recognized IPPA (international Pitch and Putt Association) after through study of Pitch and Putt sport.
The R&A is the ruling authority of golf everywhere in the world except the United States and Mexico; it works in collaboration with national amateur and professional golf organizations in more than one hundred and ten countries. It also attempts to spread the game to new countries.
IPPA is the International Pitch and Putt Association, a global organization responsible for the development of the sport of Pitch and Putt at the international level. IPPA defines Pitch and Putt as Golf with a difference and views Pitch and Putt as a specialty of golf.
Indian Pitch and Putt Union (IPPU) is member of IPPA and affiliated as governing body in India for the development of Pitch and Putt.
