Infinx Unveils New Prior Authorization Determination Engine
SAN JOSE, Calif., January 30, 2019 (Newswire.com) - Infinx is pleased to announce the release of its new Prior Authorization Determination Engine – just in time for the 2019 HIMSS Global Conference & Exhibition Feb. 11–15, 2019, in Orlando, Florida.
The proprietary engine in Infinx’s Patient Access Software is the result of intensive research, design and testing by its dedicated artificial intelligence and machine learning team, as well as a vast, comprehensive data set. This feature is capable of automatically determining if a prior authorization is required or not, saving healthcare providers valuable time, resources and money when scheduling procedures.
“Our solution is the direct result of two primary factors: extensive operational experience with the national payers on prior authorization and cutting-edge machine learning,” said Infinx VP of Product Navaneeth Nair.
The engine combines Infinx’s extensive knowledge base of payer policies and guidelines with rules learned using advanced machine learning techniques employed on a large repository of payer authorization outcomes.
“This results in an ever-smarter, more efficient product,” said Nair. “The engine also has the capability to be integrated to any EMR or practice management system through an API which would offer real-time results at scheduling.”
Coinciding with the release of Infinx’s new Prior Authorization Determination Engine, Nair will present a seminar, “Applying AI + HI (Human Intelligence) for Revenue Cycle,” on Thursday, Feb. 14, from 2:45-3:05 p.m. at the HIMSS19 show in the Lightning Sessions Theater, Hall D.
HIMSS is a leading health information and technology conference, bringing together 45,000-plus professionals from more than 90 countries for the education, innovation and collaboration they need to transform health through information and technology.
Nair’s presentation will center on the rapid development and improvements in AI algorithms and how their ability to impact healthcare payment collections will have significant implications on prior authorization and revenue cycle management processes.
Nair leads product vision and execution of a new generation of healthcare products designed to increase revenue capture and enhance patient satisfaction for providers at Infinx. He has been in healthcare technology for more than 17 years focused on patient experience and access with the largest healthcare payers and providers, including Aetna, Anthem, Ascension, MD Anderson and others. For the last six years, he has been focused on the application of AI to engage patients in their health and amplify business process improvements.
For anyone planning on going to HIMSS, stop by to meet Nair and the Infinx product team at booth 9000-24, Hall F, in the Innovation Live Pavilion. Book a demo to see the new Prior Authorization Determination Engine in action and learn how our Patient Access software can help preserve more revenue when scheduling authorized procedures that will get reimbursed by payers.
