Ingham Joins NYSIR in Business Development Role
UNIONDALE, N.Y. , April 16, 2019 (Newswire.com) - Cassandra Ingham, formerly a risk management specialist with Utica National Insurance Group, has been named Business Development Specialist with the New York Schools Insurance Reciprocal (NYSIR).
Ingham, a long-time resident of Oneida County, N.Y., holds a master’s degree from Utica College, as well as a Certified School Risk Manager (CSRM) designation. She brings 30 years of school, BOCES and insurance marketing and risk management experience to her new position at NYSIR, where she’ll be responsible for enhancing relationships with local school boards; coordinating NYSIR’s interactions with education-related association programs such as the New York State Council of School Superintendents Women’s Initiative; developing marketing strategies; and assisting with the development of statewide NYSIR risk management seminars and webinars.
“We’re excited to have Cassandra join our team,” says NYSIR Executive Director Robert Lulley, Jr. “Her extensive school insurance and risk management background, along with her familiarity with New York public schools and education associations, are certain to add extra value to NYSIR’s already experienced and dedicated cadre of insurance professionals.”
NYSIR President Stephen Lunden notes, as well, that it’s “coincidence, of course, but we like to think there may be something special about bringing Cassandra and her 30 years of school and insurance expertise on board just in time to help NYSIR celebrate its own 30th anniversary. We look at it as a gift, not just to ourselves, but to the hundreds of districts and BOCES currently served by the reciprocal.”
NYSIR is a nonprofit reciprocal insurer of more than 350 school districts and BOCES across New York State. It is owned, operated and governed by districts that belong to the reciprocal, which provides its members with comprehensive, cost-effective property and liability insurance, as well as in-depth risk management programs.
