Initsys showcasing innovative new central monitoring solutions at IFSEC 2010
New solutions cut the costs of setting up control rooms and deliver enhanced functionality
Online, April 19, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Initsys, Europe's leading provider of verified alarm technology, is showcasing a number of innovative new central alarm monitoring systems at IFSEC on stand number G70 in Hall 4. They will reduce the costs of setting up central control rooms and provide enhanced functionality to enable a wider range of services to be provided. The new systems will also deliver significant savings in the cost of connecting to commonly used alarm transmission systems and deliver a rapid return on investment.
The Initsys NASCOM is new virtual monitoring solution that replaces the myriad servers traditionally required to run multiple monitoring services. This software-based multi-protocol receiver provides access to all commonly used alarm transmission protocols, including Redcare, Dualcom, Paknet, CSL, Modeus and Emizon.
It runs on purpose-built servers, each of which has the capacity to replace up to 24 dedicated receivers. This frees up space in busy control rooms and delivers lower ongoing running costs in terms of management and maintenance. NASCOM is compatible with existing analogue, digital and IP-based CCTV cameras along with most commonly used brands of DVR. This enables the operational capability of existing security networks to be enhanced without having to upgrade the whole system.
Throughout the exhibition, Initsys will be demonstrating how existing intruder alarms, fire alarms and building management systems can be integrated. This eliminates the need for dedicated monitoring screens for each system and instead provides control room operators with all necessary information on a single screen making it easy to efficiently monitor and manage incidents. The stand will feature a video wall comprising four of the latest 52" HD LCD screens from Mitsubishi Electric Corporation that provide enhanced performance in mission critical environments.
According to Chris Berry, Managing Director of Initsys: "At a time when local authorities, security guarding and other commercial organisations are looking to cut costs across the board, the new Initsys NASCOM will deliver significant savings. It enables control room services to be brought in-house at a fraction of the cost of paying alarm companies to monitor intruder alarms in diverse locations without impacting on the level of monitoring provided."
