Innovative Belt Gains Traction and Raises Funds
Bozeman, MT, August 11, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Jen Perry, founder and inventor of the Jelt Belt, realized that her skinny jeans were not staying up throughout the day, and normal belts were not doing the trick for her. She started wondering what kind of belt would improve this fashion flub. She reminisced, “I knew I needed a belt that was skinny enough to fit through my belt loops, but strong enough to support my movements and busy life of being a mom and a ranch manager”. Not satisfied with current belts on the market that lacked these qualities, Jen decided to do something about it. After a year and multiple prototypes, the Jelt Belt came to life.
Jelt first debuted in 2014, and after a year of figuring out exactly what Jelt could offer the market and selling out of her initial inventory, Jen listened to her customer input and decided to take the feedback from her first try and create a new round of colors and sizes and use Kickstarter to raise awareness and funds for the products. “We are so excited to launch four new colors with Kickstarter and cannot wait for our customers to start Jelting!”, said Jen. The Kickstarter recently reached 100 backers and they have exceeded their goal of raising $8,000. Jen is still encouraging people to donate and help spread the word so everyone can start Jelting and she can look at what to do next. “After the Kickstarter is complete and I finish fulfilling all of the orders, I’m excited to start thinking about the next five years and beyond and just how far Jelt can go”, said Jen.
