Online, June 23, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Innovative-e, Inc. hosts two special fundraising events-a SharePoint workshop on Friday July 6 and a dragon boat racing event on Sunday July 8-to raise proceeds to benefit the Canadian charity Thinking Forward. Thinking Forward is a nonprofit organization focused on the character development of children, youth and adults in Toronto.
SharePoint Workshop Fundraiser:
Innovative-e is hosting the SharePoint workshop, "How to Plan, Manage and Control SharePoint Projects" on Friday July 6, 2012, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. The cost of the event is a donation only. Participants choose how much to donate. Donations of $25 or more are tax-deductible and will include a receipt. By attending this workshop, participants will learn proven techniques on how to best manage the people, process and technical aspects of SharePoint initiatives, including upgrades, new implementations, migrations and custom solution development. Participants are eligible to earn six Project Management Institute (PMI) professional development units (PDUs). Participants will also receive relevant artifacts and templates, including project schedules, checklists, requirements documents, design documents, and business case documents. Dragon Boat Race Fundraiser:
Innovative-e is hosting a dragon boat racing fundraising event at the PaddleCore Boat Club on Sunday July 8, 2012, at 7:30 a.m. - 10 a.m. following SharePoint Saturday Toronto and just before the 2012 Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference in Toronto, Canada. All proceeds from the event will go to Thinking Forward. There are three ways to participate:
1. Become a corporate sponsor.
2. Sign up individually.
3. Help spread the word through social media and email.
Participants do not need to have experience rowing to join. Free T-shirts will be given to all participants who pre-register by June 27. The cost to participate is $99 per person.
