Inspection Consultants Division can provide various options for the inspection of condensers, feed water heaters, heat exchangers, air conditioners, boilers and air coolers utilising the MultiScan MS5800.

This multi-technology system offers the following techniques: Eddy Current, Magnetic Flux Leakage, Remote Field, Near Field (for inspection of fin fan tubing), and IRIS Ultrasonics.

Each one of these techniques offered provides unique capabilities and superior performance. A wide range of materials can be inspected including ferrous, non-ferrous and non-metallic tubing and allows the detection and sizing of wall loss as a result of corrosion, erosion, wear, pitting, cracking and baffle cuts. The accuracy of detected wall loss is enhanced by the two in-built encoder inputs which record the probe position.

Further to this, the MultiScan MS5800 can also be used with a probe pusher-puller providing high speed eddy current condenser inspection. This supplies a probe speed of approximately 6m/s during the push cycle and 2m/s during the pull cycle resulting in fast and effective inspection results of a large quantity of tubes.
