Online, November 26, 2010 (Newswire.com) - The central theme for safety system specialist Aero Sekur at Aero India 2011 will be integrated helicopter survival. Bangalore based Sika Interplant Systems Ltd will support the global aerospace and defence company at the airshow.
Aero Sekur's helicopter systems combine to provide co-ordinated and enhanced safety solutions. The company's latest initiative, which will be promoted on the stand, is a combined shock absorption/flotation system. Currently in development, and scheduled for production in 2012, the breakthrough concept is designed to complement the company's life-raft system to increase survivability of helicopters and crews in forced landing situations, either on land or water.
An established aero engineering initiative from Aero Sekur will also be promoted on the stand. The company's Non Pyrotechnic Inflation System (NPIS) is an intelligent, automated inflation solution for life-rafts and flotation systems. The non explosive alternative to traditional valve actuation technology is suitable for new airframes or retro-fits. Successfully eliminating any requirement for routine replacement, the product is re-usable as there is no degradation in performance and can be re-set after actuation.
Aero Sekur's MRO services will also be promoted. The company's FAA and EASA certified repair service includes repair of flotation systems, liferafts, aircraft escape slides and lifejackets. Developments due to be announced at Aero India include plans to establish an MRO facility in India.
Design innovation is a core service from both Aero Sekur and Sika - this ensures a developing product range for the Indian market including helicopter emergency flotation systems, external Liferaft systems, high performance parachutes and new generation NBC/combat suits. Sika is a public listed IS0 9001 engineering company and a design approved firm by the Center for Military & Airworthiness Certification Authorities (CEMILAC) Ministry of Defense, Government of India to take up Aerospace projects.
In March 2010 Aero Sekur invested in office space at A|D|S' Bangalore facility. Aero Sekur's President and Chief Executive Officer will attend Aero India 2011.
