IntelliSparx Continues the "iSparx Cares" Campaign by Helping New Non-Profit
Online, July 26, 2011 (Newswire.com) - San Diego based interactive agency, IntelliSparx LLC, has donated a website to the Meals-on-Wheels Visionaries in Philanthropy group that will be getting young business professionals involved in the Meals-on-Wheels endeavors.
Meals-on-Wheels Greater San Diego, Inc. is committed to reducing the isolation experienced by so many elderly. Meals are delivered to seniors' homes by volunteers. Frequently the volunteer may be the only person the senior sees all day, providing human contact and a safety net, particularly for those seniors living alone.
The Visionaries in Philanthropy (VIP), has plans to get young professionals involved not only helping the Meals-on-Wheels' overall goal, but to connect business professionals from all industries within San Diego to come together for a common cause.
Throughout the year the VIP group will be throwing mixers, events, dinners, and a wide array of activities to build relationships and raise money for the VIP group and its goals to help the Meals-on-Wheels Foundation.
"As part of our 'iSparx Gives" campaign, we felt that the Visionaries in Philanthropy was the perfect organization and wanted to further their cause in helping the Meals-on-Wheels Greater San Diego group. Our elderly are in need of food, friendship, and interaction with people throughout their days and the Meals-on-Wheels cause is doing a tremendous effort to help these seniors out," states President, Eric Wohl.
The VIP website was built using a content management system that will allow the board to expand their site over the years. It will allow for easy uploads of photos, the ability to accept donations via online transaction, as well as post periodic updates and news regarding the groups upcoming events and mission.
