InterFACE Talent Network helps CT child book role as extra on CSI/SVU

In March, seven-year-old Emma was booked as an extra for "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" and "Law & Order: Special Investigations Unit", the first job she has secured with the help of InterFACE Talent Network.

South Norwalk, CT, 3/17/2010 - "We had thought about getting Emma to model before. She's cute and laid back," says Ben, father of seven-year-old Emma. "The InterFACE talent scouts at the Milford Post Mall kiosk were nice - they are always really nice. They gave us the basic information, and we took it from there."

In March, Emma was booked as an extra for "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" and "Law & Order: Special Investigations Unit", the first job she has secured with the help of InterFACE Talent Network.

InterFACE help Ben navigate through the paperwork associated with booking a job. Says Ben, "That was probably the most helpful part. We knew nothing about the business."

"Even though she was an extra, Emma felt like the star," says Ben. "The people on the set encouraged the kids to learn about what was happening. Emma loved it. She loved the cameras being there. Out of the thirteen kids, they picked her to play the birthday girl in the scene."

For a seven-year-old, Emma is extremely outgoing. She excels at school and can memorize practically anything. Emma interacts well with both her peers and adults, and she's currently taking acting lessons. Says Ben, "She truly enjoys it for the right reasons."

During Emma's first photoshoot, Ben was impressed by the photographer's expertise, and Emma, who was five at the time, loved the makeup.

Emma and Ben have worked closely with Director of Promotions Vickie Frankmano, who constantly updates Ben with any information that might help Emma in her quest to book acting jobs. Says Ben, "Vickie is really great. She's been the highlight of all this."

Ben and his wife will support Emma as long as she wants to continue working.

"If someone wants to educate themselves about the entertainment business or wants to get cool pictures, InterFACE is great," says Ben. "Emma is a pretty cool kid, and she loved it. It was worth it for her to get that experience."
