International Association of Women Honors Beatrice Felix as a 2018-2019 Influencer of the Year

CHICAGO, May 8, 2018 (Newswire.com) - The International Association of Women (IAW) honors Beatrice Felix as a 2018-2019 Influencer of the Year. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in entrepreneurship. Beatrice Felix was inspired to help educate others about personal finance when she realized the impact a lack of knowledge about one’s finances had on her own life and those she loved. “What we don’t know can hurt us—immeasurably,” she said. “That became painfully evident when I became a caregiver for two parents in my 30’s, and then saw others’ lives decimated when suddenly faced with terminally ill spouses.” Ms. Felix also witnessed the difficulties friends and family faced when it came to paying for college.

“I channeled my care-giving inclination into educating others on all aspects of personal finance, and how to protect their families, their dreams and their future,” she said. “I expanded my executive coaching practice to include college preparation and planning because I want to assist students in getting the best education possible so they could embark on rewarding careers.”

As a Consultant at the Heartland Institute of Financial Education (HIFE), Ms. Felix works with individuals, organizations and students to promote financial literacy. She offers on-site training on the essential elements of financial wellness, and assists high school students with assessment, preparation, selection, application and financial aid.

Ms. Felix, who is also the Founder of Pivotal Mind Coaching, where she helps adults and students attain their professional and personal goals, uses her skills in leadership, coaching, public speaking and problem solving. “I’m able to simplify complex issues, be supportive, hold an audience’s attention and give them confidence to take action,” she added. “My empathy and enthusiasm readily connects me with my audience.”
