International Association of Women Honors Jill Busby as a 2018-2019 Influencer of the Year

Jill Busby, Executive Director of Pike County Economic Development District, is selected for her outstanding leadership and commitment within her profession

The International Association of Women (IAW) honors Jill Busby as a 2018-2019 Influencer of the Year. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in entrepreneurship. The International Association of Women (IAW) is a global in-person and online networking platform with nearly one million members, 1000+ in person and virtual events, over 100 Local US based Chapters and International Chapters in several cities in China.

Self-motivated and results driven to succeed, Jill Busby is a seasoned professional who has constantly set her goals to keep pace with her highest aspirations for personal excellence. Throughout her career, she has exhibited exemplary teamwork, expertise, integrity and dedication.

As Executive Director of Pike County Economic Development District, Ms. Busby uses her skills in management, finance, marketing and communications to help foster the economic growth of Pike County, MS. Ms. Busby recently received Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) accreditation, an international recognition that denotes a mastery of skills in economic development, professional attainment and a commitment to personal and professional growth. The CEcD is administered by the International Economic Development Council.

A highly competent economic development professional, Ms. Busby works with public officials, business leaders and community members to create leadership to build upon and maximize the economic development sector. Excellence in the economic development profession improves the well-being, quality of life and opportunities for individuals, businesses and communities.

Prior to joining Pike County Economic Development District, Ms. Busby has held management positions in human resources, real estate development and workforce development in the public and private sector across the United States. Ms. Busby has a Master’s of Public Administration from Arkansas State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from the University of Southern Mississippi.
