Faith Warren, UE/UI/UX Designer, Architect and Director

Self-motivated and results driven to succeed, Faith Warren is a seasoned professional who has constantly set her goals to keep pace with her highest aspirations for personal excellence. Throughout her 25-year career, she has exhibited exemplary teamwork, expertise, integrity, and dedication.

“I am currently looking for a new Director or Senior Management position, but I am on the board of directors for SMU (Southern Methodist University), providing support and oversight on their digital acceleration program. I’m helping to shape the UX Master’s degree program for the students of tomorrow,” she said.

Ms. Warren’s expertise is helping others understand technology. “I love UX,” she said. “It is not only making users love your application or website but streamlining business processes and building something that makes business easier to do with the users. It’s an art form to me. I can see the 10,000-foot view and all the steps to get there in an organization.”

As she honed her craft building websites in the 90s, Ms. Warren attended school, taking classes in numerous fields, including psychology, anthropology, and sociology. “I took classes that helped my craft,” she explained. “I learned where to place products in a demographic to get buyers to buy them based on religion, ethnicity, socioeconomic status. Who were my users on a hospital application? I discovered it was primarily nurses who were from around the world and English was their second language so using iconography as a common language with user groups of 200 nurses. Some were Nigerian, Indian, Hispanic, Vietnamese.  English wasn’t their first language. So, the religion and sociology classes I took helped me understand my audience in ways a lot of UX people would never look at them.”

Ms. Warren maintains a blog about UX and how to do user testing and design. “I blog about trends and methodologies such as Agile and how to integrate UX into companies that have no clue how to utilize them or monetize and account for the value they bring,” she said. “I have worked with fortune 100 companies solving some of the most complex business problems in the industry, and I love the challenge.”
