Although Kenny Lissette Martell did not set out to pursue a career in technology, her interest in the field and working with people ultimately led her to become an IT Engineer. Today, she has more than ten years of experience working in IT support of external and internal customers.

In her role as IT Engineer at RingCentral, a company that provides cloud-based communications and collaboration solutions for businesses, Ms. Martell is responsible for onboarding new employees, assisting with troubleshooting issues that come up on a daily basis and working on additional operational metrics reporting and projects. “I’m fortunate to have people skills and be able to learn more from each person to assess their individual as well as departmental needs,” she said. “I am also very process oriented and enjoy creating and improving current processes.”

As she uses her skills in leadership, management, communication and technology, Ms. Martell finds her work very rewarding. “I enjoy interacting with people of different backgrounds and departments within the company,” she said. “I enjoy being able to help people and make their lives better.”

Ms. Martell, who recently obtained her M.B.A. from Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont, CA, looks forward to continuing to develop her leadership and business skills.
