International Association of Women Recognizes Ruth Parra-Naranjo as a 2018-2019 Influencer of the Year

Ruth Parra-Naranjo, Facility Director at Sam's Club Wholesale Trading, joins networking organization

The International Association of Women (IAW) recognizes Ruth Parra-Naranjo as a 2018-2019 Influencer of the Year. She is acknowledged as a leader in entrepreneurship. The International Association of Women (IAW) is a global in-person and online networking platform with nearly one million members, 1000+ in person and virtual events, over 100 Local US-based Chapters and International Chapters in several cities in China.

Self-motivated and results driven to succeed, Ruth Parra-Naranjo is a seasoned professional who has constantly set her goals to keep pace with her highest aspirations for personal excellence. Throughout her career, she has exhibited exemplary teamwork, expertise, integrity, and dedication.

Ms. Parra-naranjo has more than 25 years of experience in retail merchandising and operations. Throughout her highly successful career, she has honed her skills in forecasting business trends, strategic management, safety and compliance, communication and team leadership.

In her current role as Facility Director at Sam's Club Wholesale Trading, a multinational retailer, Ms. Parra-naranjo’s oversees the day-to-day operations of the facility where she interacts and communicates with departments and manages and oversees a team of professionals, ensuring business goals are met and/or exceeded. Other responsibilities include managing a 110M+ sales operation, collaborating with internal and external partners, performing cost analysis, managing and implementing strategic planning, ensuring compliance, developing and communicating business plans and much more.

Previously, Ms. Parra-naranjo held the role of Regional Merchandise Manager at Walmart where she was responsible for the execution of merchandise programs of 15 market managers at 134 store locations. She created and executed successful business merchandise plans, managed and implemented new projects, and initiated new business strategies.

Ms. Parra-naranjo also held a number of leadership positions at other major retailers, including New Formats, Business Development Buyer, Food & Consumables and General Manager at Sam’s Club, and Regional Merchandise Manager at BJ’s Wholesale Club. She has an M.B.A. from the University of Phoenix and a B.S.A. in Interior Design from Bauder College.
