International Association of Women Recognizes Sharareh Baha as a 2019-2020 Influencer
Sharareh Baha, owner of MBA Consulting Group, joins networking organization
CHICAGO, May 7, 2019 (Newswire.com) - The International Association of Women (IAW) recognizes Sharareh (Sherry) Baha as a 2019-2020 Influencer. She is acknowledged as a leader in entrepreneurship. The International Association of Women (IAW) is a global in-person and online networking platform with nearly one million members, 1,000-plus in-person and virtual events, over 100 local U.S.-based chapters and international chapters in several cities in China.
“I’m pleased to welcome Sharareh into this exceptional group of professional women,” said IPDN President and IAW spokesperson Star Jones. “Her knowledge and experience in her industry are valuable assets to her company and community.”
Initially, after working in her sister-in-law’s chiropractic office, Sharareh Baha had planned to follow in her footsteps and become a chiropractor. However, her path eventually changed direction. “My plans got postponed going to chiropractic school and because of that, I became more familiar in running a practice,” Ms. Baha explained. “That’s when I realized I was more interested in the business side of healthcare, although I still enjoy learning about the science behind all medicine.”
Ms. Baha began to attend seminars that focused on how doctors could improve their practices, how to properly train staff and how to market healthcare practices and managed multiple clinics after branching out from her sister-in-law’s business. Ms. Baha eventually became an expert on how to best run private practices and clinics. She went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration and management with a specialization in small business entrepreneurship.
Working in this field for nearly 13 years, Ms. Baha has had much success. Inspired by her father, an entrepreneur, she made the decision to strike out on her own and about six years ago, she founded MBA Consulting Group, a practice management consulting company that helps medical providers build successful practices.
“My inspiration is my father,” Ms. Baha said. “He has been an entrepreneur from a young age, and seeing the success he’s gained and the challenges and obstacles he’s overcome and even the stories he’s told me of what it took for him to be who he is now is the person I want to be. I admire his strength, optimism, hard work and passion for what he has done.”
Using her industry expertise, Ms. Baha works with healthcare providers whose practices lack proper management. “I help guide them in the direction they need to proceed in order to grow, get established and become successful," she said. Her company provides a variety of consulting services, including strategic marketing, installing computer systems and software, training office staff, introducing employee handbooks and policy manuals, creating master copies of patient forms and organizing filing systems, credentialing, providing updated health law guidelines, setting goals to increase revenue, familiarizing/training office with EHR systems. MBA Consulting Group also offers full billing services.
Ms. Baha admits it can be challenging to gain the initial trust of her clients. “However, once physicians see the difference and the improvement in their practice after working with me, it is so rewarding to receive their positive feedback and watch them thrive,” she said. “It’s gratifying to know I’ve made a difference in their career/life/business in a positive way by helping them achieve their goals because, without my services and expertise, their businesses could have failed. Once they are doing well on their own, I begin to fade out of the picture. Of course, my services are always available to them whenever they need me again."
Excited about her future, Ms. Baha plans to continue to grow MBA Consulting Group. She hopes to expand her services to multi-specialty medical providers in a larger setting such as hospitals and ambulatory care. “I am so proud of how far I’ve come as a young woman in the business world,” she added.
