International College Counselors Invites Students To Discussion On Preparation for Careers
Online, October 27, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Students considering careers in the growing fields of science, medicine and math are encouraged to attend a free discussion held by International College Counselors. The presentation, followed by a question and answer session, is recommended for students in grades 7 through 12. The free event will be held on Thursday, November 3 at 7 p.m. at IMACS Plantation, 7435 NW 4th Street.
"While in high school, there are a number of ways students can prepare for college tracks and careers in science, mathematics, or medicine," said Mandee Heller Adler, expert college consultant and founder of International College Counselors, a firm offering expert college admissions assistance and college counseling services that helps students get accepted to the colleges of their dreams. "By building a strong foundation in these areas early on, students can stand out from other college applicants."
Advice from the expert college consultants at International College Counselors will include course selection, opportunities for career path exploration, precollege summer programs and camps, scholarships, internships and more.
Expert college consultants understand the U.S. currently faces a shortage of prepared students in science, medicine and math. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), jobs in these areas are projected to grow at a fast pace relative to other occupations. Workers in these occupations also earn more on average than their counterparts in other jobs.
