Introducing BASK Resort Gili Meno, Indonesia

BASK Resort Gili Meno is a new beach club, villa-resort and investment opportunity ideal for venture savvy investors looking to capitalise in the booming Indonesian tourism market

Offering a niche luxury travel investment opportunity to venture-savvy buyers looking to produce a yield on a rental product in an already-proven solvent and highly sustainable real estate market, BASK Resort Gili Meno is a new beach club and villa-resort concept set to open in early 2016.

Located in the unspoilt Gili Islands off the coast of Lombok, this high yield investment opportunity has been backed by an A-list of Australian financial and creative directors led by financier and CEO Greg Meyer.

“This unique addition to Indonesia’s high-end resort scene provides potential investors with a fantastic opportunity to join what will prove a premier destination for international travellers,” Mr Meyer said.

“Roughly 370,000 tourists visit the Lombok area each year which makes Gili Meno an incredible opportunity for investment via what represents the first world-class resort experience in the Gili Islands.

“As an investment opportunity BASK Resort Gili Meno offers exceptional value for capital growth and return.“

Mr Meyer has been joined in the enterprise by award winning creative director George Gorrow and architect Gary Fell whose combined highly visual and very creative handiwork is playing a major role in the interior and exterior design of the resort.

When ready for opening BASK Resort Gili Meno will feature 81 individual villas totalling 98 rooms in studio, loft, two-bedroom and three-bedroom suite layouts.

Local thatched roof, bamboo-framed fishing villas serve as inspiration for the resort’s architectural design while flat garden roofs, textured concrete and sleek wooden finishings combine to form an aesthetic that is both contemporary and authentic.

Located on 300 meters of private, white-sand beach on Gili Meno’s west-facing shore, the BASK Resort Gili Meno blueprint features a wide range of facilities.

These include a beach club offering a panoramic beachfront and lakeside views from its infinity pool deck while the indoor cocktail lounge and beach bar will serve locally sourced organic food including a raw beer designed to tempt even the most health-conscious drinker.

Adding even more Australian flavour to the overall BASK Resort Gili Meno concept, the restaurant’s menu of Indonesian-influenced Asian and Western cuisine will be designed by Chef Dan Moran of Sydney’s iconic Rockpool Bar and Grill while Australian mixologist Mark Ward, of Hugo’s and the creator of Regal Rogue Vermouth, will concoct his signature cocktails blended with unique local ingredients.

Indonesia has long been positioned as the ‘spa and wellness capital of Asia’ and, in direct keeping with that stance, BASK Resort Gili Meno’s facilities will also offer a state of the art spa and wellness centre combining the very best of treatments and services including massage and local therapies.

And for those interested in more active pursuits, BASK Resort Gili Meno can provide its guests with access to diving, golf, surfing, snorkelling, kayaking, paddle boarding and hiking to name but a few.

Keeping things green and key to the environmental angle while adhering strongly to BASK Resort Gili Meno’s dedication to sustainable living, the new resort will feature a recycling program, no-plastic policy, a water treatment plant, and composting system.

BASK Resort Gili Meno also aims to minimize its ecological footprint through the establishment of a carbon neutral program, preserving the beauty that Gili Meno provides.

One of three islands comprising the Gili Island archipelago, Gili Meno is easily accessible by international airports on Bali and Lombok, fast-boat ferries and private speed boat charters.

The island has seen a steady increase in tourists seeking adventure and looking for an idyllic alternative to neighbouring, over-developed, and very heavily-trafficked Bali.

Local authorities and land owners have endeavoured to preserve the region’s natural splendour through conservation efforts including the Gili Eco Trust as well as keeping the island free from motorised vehicles.

The self-proclaimed “turtle capital of the world”, Gili Meno area is renowned for its rich marine life with the region’s diving heralded as a must-do experience.
