Introducing NESCOT-Your Neck' S Best Friend!
On a wintry night in January 2011, Rebecca Wall showed her idea for revolutionizing neck wear to her local Inventors' Council in Lexington, Kentucky. Now men, women, children, and even pets can experience the Nescot difference for themselves!
Online, September 2, 2013 (Newswire.com) - How many times have you heard someone say, "I had this great idea but I never did anything with it"? Rebecca Wall decided that wasn't going to happen to her million -dollar idea. The result: The NESCOT, a revolutionary alternative to the typical winter scarf and the next great thing in organizational fund-raising.
The idea for NESCOT grew out of Wall's boredom with the tired, typical winter neck scarf. "I'm very cold- natured and always want my neck covered, but I don't like the scratch and bulk of a big winter neck scarf, " she says. "I thought there must be a way to get both an attractive and warm neck wear design that would be easy on and off, versatile enough to wear indoors or outside-under a jacket, cardigan, or coat and look great!"
With a background in sewing taught by her mother, Wall wasted no time in figuring things out for herself. One wintry day in November 2010, she opened up her hall closet and started cutting up old scarves and neck gators from her snow skiing days. The result: NESCOT--an item so versatile in its full coverage and performance-it can be worn by anyone! On a fluke, Wall took her handmade NESCOT prototype to her local Inventors' Council. Imagine her surprise when the Council director said, "These will sell like hotcakes! Move to trademark ASAP!"
The NESCOT is designed with a cowl neck in the front and elastic casings on either side of the neck. It drapes across to the shoulders and down the front of the chest. Wall consulted with Daymond John (of ABC's "Shark Tank" fame) in March 2013 on the closure design. The result: NESCOT sports a unique magnetic closure technology at the nape of the neck that makes wearing and removing NESCOT an easy and simple task for anyone's hands.
Now this common sense cold weather accessory provides the perfect opportunity for businesses, schools, sports teams, churches, and clubs of all kinds to raise funds for their organizations and advertise their brand.
