Introducing the personal and private touch of Blackfingers Hair & Make-up

With so many so-called experts in the hair and beauty industry it is rare to discover a new talent that has the propensity to change the very way in which we look at style.

With so many so-called experts in the hair and beauty industry it is rare to discover a new talent that has the propensity to change the very way in which we look at style. Tasha Dixon is a phenomenal woman who is doing just this, starting her career as a junior as at the modest age of 13 she is entering her 12th year in the hair and beauty industry. She as worked in some of Britain's leading salons including Hibiscus, Hair & Nail Studio, Vanessa Andar, Toni & Guy, Expressions InHair and Junior Green. With her passion for hair and beauty Tasha Dixon offers groundbreaking creativity.

Following the birth of her daughter in 2001 Tasha needed a flexible working schedule and took the decision to start Blackfingers. Working from a dedicated room in her home to create own personal hair salon, she has not looked back since. Blackfingers London celebrated 7 years in business in April 2010. Since trading from home with a client base of 20, she has become an established and respected hair stylist with over 200 clients now on the books, working from a luxurious salon in South Woodford.

As the business has grown, so has her reputation, she has worked with numerous celebrities. She has worked with Ozwald Boateng as a stylist for his fashion shows during London Fashion week and shows in Ghana. She was the stylist for pop star Sabrina Washington in the "OMG" music video, album cover and press shots in 2010. Tasha has also had the opportunity to work at The Mobos and The Brit Awards as well as styling for TV shows such as CDUK, This Morning, Top of The Pops and MTV. Tasha Dixon was also the Winner of Stop Watch Stylist 2004, finalist at Golden Scissor Awards 2004 & 2005 and finalist Black Hair and Beauty Wahl Awards 2003.

The future is bright for Tasha Dixon, who has been appointed as the contributing editor to K&K Bridal Magazine, the first British bridal magazine that caters towards women of colour. Blackfingers is in the final stages of moving to a new 'boutique' salon in South Woodford to offer its clients premium surroundings and luxury. The salon launch date for this is October 2010.
