Inventrs Introduces "Third Hand", Handle Canoe Transport (& More) Without A Helper
The Third Hand for Handling a Canoe is a canoe handling system designed for individual use and also works with other products when one has no helper.
New York, NY, December 23, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Small boats and canoes are perfect for the traditional water sports enthusiasts. But, they can also be difficult to handle when one is alone. The Third Hand enables a single individual to easily lift and load a canoe or similar small boat onto a vehicle's roof-rack for easy transport and to easily unload it as well. It is perfect for single-handed, car-topping boaters and solo fishermen and is also ideal for someone that hauls long ladders for work on his family truck, who, when his workday is over can easily remove the ladder and use the truck for pleasure.
The Third Hand consists of three parts, a tee section crossbar with both ends welded shut and an eyelet on top of both sides for maximum tie-off. There will also be three strategically placed 3/8” holes on either side of the tee for different load width tie-downs. The extension pole is adjustable and has a hole mount that is fastened into either a tow bumper or trailer hitch. This when completed enables the user to simply one end of the inverted canoe, boat, or other bulky object into place and once firmly attached, all is set to go. It is just as easy to remove and leaving the mount in place allows the tailgate to be lowered or the hatch or trunk to be opened without interference. Televised test marketing has been completed indicating exceptional consumer interest in the Third Hand.
"I use the Third Hand (prototype) regularly and it works perfectly. One need no longer search for someone to help when needing to load or unload a canoe or other products. It is easy to transport, assemble and handle."
Patrick McAndrew, Inventor
The Patent Pending Third Hand was invented by Patrick McAndrew, a longtime boater and fisherman of Lester, PA who said, “This is actually a tool that aids the user in loading and unloading certain items to and from a truck, SUV, or car without the aid of another person. It is lightweight, easy to transport and assemble and is reliable. The Third Hand prototype works exceptionally well.”
