Invents Company Introduces "Helm Light" For Bicyclists Safety During Nighttime Drives

Cyclists on the go (particularly on dark ill lit roads) will enjoy safe conduct during a ride when wearing The Helm Light. It lights a cyclists path and also makes the cyclist highly visible to motorists.

In 2012, 726 people in the US lost their lives in bicycle/motor vehicle crashes. This is about two people every day of the year. Many times the reason given is that the motorist didn't see the cyclist. One way to prevent such accidents and to make the cyclist more visible is with the Helm Light. A bicycle safety helmet, the lightweight Helm Light has bright, battery-powered LEDs (Light-Emitting Diodes) that illuminate the nighttime cyclist's path and make him or her highly visible to motorists and other cyclists approaching from the front, sides, or rear. Televised test marketing has been completed indicating an exceptional consumer interest in the Helm Light.

The Patent Pending Helm Light was invented by Jacob Gelb of Brooklyn, NY, who said, “What makes the Helm Light different from other bicycle helmets is its unique design feature. This high-quality protective helmet has its own bright white LED headlight and also red LED lights along the sides and back of the helmet. Red or orange reflector strips are along the sides and back of the helmet as well. The Helm Light is powered by a battery or batteries housed in a snap-locking battery compartment within the underside of the top of the helmet. There are push-button controls for the headlight, side lights, and rear lights which are on the side of the helmet. The cyclist can select a steady beam or flashing headlight, as well as several alternative flashing sequences for the red side and rear LED arrays.”

"The Helm Light is different from other bicycle helmets. It has an adjustable-fit interior headband and features an adjustable, padded chinstrap. It is extensively vented for coolness and lights up the cyclist and the road ahead. It is comfortable!"

Jacob Gelb, Inventor

The inventor added, “The Helm Light can be produced in small, medium, and large sizes or it can be produced in a universal size with an adjustable-fit interior headband. Extensively vented for coolness and featuring an adjustable, padded chinstrap, the Helm Light can be made available in a variety of colors and can be embellished with a variety of graphics.”
