The pre-tied necktie version includes a handy new clip-on device, along with a support base for the hanging tie material. The line also includes pre-tied knots, using standard tying formations including the popular four-in-hand method and the half-Windsor knot which both feature a single horizontal level at the nape of the neck. The material is wrapped around a solid, Y-shaped wire or plastic unit. The top extensions of the Y are integrally attached to a length of breakaway elastic banding, which fits underneath the collar of the shirt and the neck of the wearer. Extending downward, the base of the Y culminates in a J-hook. This accoutrement is provided so that the material of the tie can be lifted up and supported in the event a wearer need to keep the tail away from hazardous areas.
