Invents Introduces 'The Stove Timer': Elapsed Duration Designates Time to Turn Off Gas to Selected Burners.
HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif., July 23, 2018 (Newswire.com) - The online dictionary describes the word time as: a: the measured or measurable period during which an action, process, or condition exists or continues: duration. This new product is a perfect description of that and serves as a safety device for all users. The Stove Timer is a timing device intended for use with gas cook-ring burners or stoves, and designed to control one, two, three, four, or all burners individually or at once – and when the set cooking time has elapsed – shut down the gas-line supplying the selected burner(s). It not only is a great aid to cooks who wish to cook certain dishes or ingredients for a specific amount of time, the Stove Timer also eliminates the possibility (and fire hazard) of an overlooked burner remaining on.
The Stove Timer consists of a digital or analog timer which can be set in minutes and seconds. The timer would be corded and powered by a household 110-volt outlet (or extension cord and outlet, if the Timer is set up for outdoor use). In addition to the timer, the cord also powers a servo-motor which operates a two-way (open or closed) ball-valve which would be installed in the gas-line supplying the burner. When the Stove Timer is powered, set, and running, the ball valve allows the gas supply-line to remain open, providing the fuel for cooking. When the time set on the Stove Timer has elapsed, a switch within the Timer shunts current to the servo-motor controlling the ball valve, which then closes off the gas supply. At this point, if further use of the burner is required a user simply presses a “Reset” button on the Stove Timer – opening the gas supply-line once more – and is ready to resume cooking. The Stove Timer is designed primarily for use with indoor cook-tops and burners, the system could with modifications work with outdoor cook-rings and grills, as well as with multi-burner gas ranges and stoves. Installation of the Stove Timer, where permanent gas-lines are involved requires the services of a technician because proper installation is essential to safety. Televised test marketing has recently been completed indicating strong consumer interest in the Stove Timer.
The Stove Timer is Patent Pending and was invented by Alberto Carrillo of Huntington Beach, CA who said, “This product not only limits the duration of cooking but automatically shuts off the gas supply when the cooking time has elapsed. Imagine food being perfectly cooked and not overdone is as easy as 1,2,3 when the Stove Timer is in use. It takes the guesswork out of cooking and is safe and economical. It works.”
