IPCA to Be Honored as 2015 Public Health Gem Award Recipient
Boise, ID, June 10, 2015 (Newswire.com) - The Idaho Public Health Association (IPHA) will honor it’s 2015 Idaho Public Health Gem Award recipient, the Idaho Primary Care Association (IPCA), June 10, 2015. Scheduled for 3:00 at the Oxford Suites hotel in Boise, Idaho, the event coincides with IPCA-sponsored NCQA Patient Centered Medical Home training, the first training of it’s kind to be held in Idaho.
Leaders from both organizations will address the audience and are expected to highlight the role IPCA fulfills in driving innovation in Idaho’s health care delivery system. IPCA has worked for over 30 years in partnership with the Community Health Centers it represents to ensure Idaho’s citizens have access to high quality, cost effective safety net and primary care services. IPCA achieves this objective through training and technical assistance, outreach and enrollment services and advocacy at both the State and Federal legislative levels.
According to Jaime Harding, MHS, President of the Idaho Public Health Association, “IPCA’s work in Idaho ensures that our most vulnerable residents have access to affordable quality health care.” Harding continued, “The model of community-based, patient-centered care that IPCA helps to support provides a benchmark for the work of the Idaho Healthcare Coalition as it begins work on the State Healthcare Innovation Plan, a 4-year journey to transform Idaho’s healthcare delivery system. I can think of no organization more deserving of this honor.”
