iPhone-4, yet another expedition from Apple in to the smart phone arena. The CEO of Apple- Steve Jobs announced that the device is set to release on June 24 in about 5 countries. The iPhone-4 is considered as an iconic model and slimmest of its kind, which will remain tied with AT&T like the previous releases of Apple.

The device has raised expectations with almost 100 new features which does not exist and would be hard to be replaced by other smart phones for at least a couple of years. The glossy, high definition, faster and powerful device is available with 16GB and 32GB built in storage, which will be available as an upgrade at $199 and $299 for the other iPhone contracts that ends by 2010.

Features of IPhone-4

1. iPhone-4 is the slimmest phone ever launched by Apple with a thickness of 9.3mm and is available in both black and white colors.

2. Similar to the iPad it works on an Apple A4 processor which is powered using a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. The device is available with optional 16GB and 32GB flash drive.

3. One of the most exciting features of the iPhone-4 is its 3.5 inch multi touch screen with a Retina display which can exhibit 326 pixels per inch. This is the first phone ever to implement this technology which provides immense clarity and is protected using two layers of aluminosilicate glass.

4. The device is capable of recording a 720p HD video using its 5MP camera at the back and VGA quality camera in the front. It has a built in speaker which supports a range of 20,000 Hz, microphone and is capable of connecting a TV using the 30 pin dock connector.

5. The iPhone-4 supports mobile and wireless network like UMTS, HSDPA, HSUPA, GSM, EDGE, 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR wireless technologies.

6. Other features include three-axis gyroscope, accelerometer, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor and Face Time apps which allows video conferencing with both the cams just out of the box.

Mobile broadband analysts say that the innovative features of Apple's products seem to be a threat for the Netbook market. Products like iPad and iPhone-4 have overwhelming features than the Netbooks which are offered as a mobile broadband contract. Due to the increase in the sharing of knowledge using social networking and micro blogging websites, users might feel more convenient with an iPhone-4 the netbooks.
