IQPC Launch World Stadium Awards Celebrating Innovations In Venue Design And Developments
Online, January 29, 2012 (Newswire.com) - The international stadium design and development industry will gather in Doha from across the globe on 4th June at the Sheraton Hotel to celebrate the premier World Stadium Awards.
The World Stadium Awards will recognise the outstanding achievements by leaders in the industry who have contributed to the latest innovations in design, have paved new ways for venue functionality and technical ability and have stunned the world with integrated masterplans and iconic sporting venues that have become a destination in their own right.
With six critical categories open for nominations, now is the time for leaders of this industry to put their names on the map and nominate their current and recent projects. The World Stadium Awards presents awards in the following areas that recognise professionals and projects that have made outstanding achievements in the stadium design and delivery industry.

In a recent interview, Head Judge for the awards, Eugene Van Vuuren, Former Technical Advisor for the FIFA 2010 South Africa World Cup offered this piece of advice for companies looking to nominate their stadium projects for one of the awards, 'The winning submission will not necessarily be about the largest stadium and linked to a mega event but could be about a challenging site and stadium development on a smaller scale. It will be of value to know why it is special and maybe unique for the circumstances.'
