Iris Window Coverings Outfits Seattle-Area High School With Roller Screens And Blinds For Maximum So

Iris Installation Of MechoShade Will Provide The Ultimate In Energy Effectiveness & Cost Savings

Iris Window Coverings, the largest window shade dealer in the Pacific Northwest (as well as one of the most prestigious in the nation) and now in its 28th year of business, is proud to announce the recent installation of 44 MechoSystems motorized MechoShade® roller screens and 600 mini-blinds (horizontal) to the recent addition at Lake Washington High School in Kirkland, Wash.

The 1,100-student school, located in the Rose Hill neighborhood of Kirkland, added a building to its growing campus, and working in conjunction with Project Manager Lydig Construction of Bellevue, Wash., contacted Iris for its solar solutions.

Iris was quick to ascertain that a system was needed to maximize and minimize the sun for the best solar effectiveness in both cold and hot weather, while also creating the most cost-friendly energy bills.

Thus, Iris selected and installed two products - 44 of the MechoSystems motorized MechoShade® roller screens and 600 mini-blinds (horizontal), both of which they felt offer the most comprehensive solar protection on the market.

"We always enjoy working with schools, because we know how committed they are to high energy standards, as well as lowering heating and cooling costs," said Iris President Richard Benton. "It's situations like these where our products stand out the most."

The MechoShade features ThermoVeil® and EuroVeil® (visually-transparent sunscreens and room-darkening shades), a full range of hardware options for motorized operation, along with Lifetime Limited Warranty with 100% replacement and no depreciation over the life of the warranty.

The mini-blinds have become a standard in the window covering industry for their effectiveness, ease of use and ease of cleaning. Additionally, these blinds meet the ANSI standard for child safety.

Since the addition's opening, school officials have been nothing short of thrilled with the energy cost savings witnessed compared to other schools in the district, and are already making plans to have Iris outfit these additional locations with similar window coverings.

This work is the latest in a long line of prominent structures Iris Window Coverings has provided window shading solutions to, which has included Microsoft headquarters (Redmond, Wash.), Amazon.com headquarters (Seattle), The Gap headquarters (San Francisco), Qwest Field (Seattle), Seattle Seahawks headquarters (Redmond, Wash.), Seattle Opera House, University of Washington, and Seattle Aquarium, among many others.
