IRS Commissioner Charles P. Rettig to Speak at 47th Annual Conference of the USA Branch of the International Fiscal Association Feb. 21-22

The new Commissioner of Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Charles P. Rettig will speak at the upcoming Annual Conference of the USA Branch of the International Association (IFA USA) on Feb. 21, 2019.

Rettig was nominated by President Donald Trump in February 2018 and was sworn in as the 49th commissioner of the IRS on Oct. 1, 2018.

Previously, Commissioner Rettig served as vice chair-administration for the American Bar Association’s Section of Taxation and president of the American College of Tax Counsel (ACTC). Rettig also served as chair of the IRS Advisory Council.

A number of government speakers from the U.S. Department of the Treasury and the IRS will also be panelists at the conference.

The IFA USA Annual Conference includes two full days of substantive sessions on international tax topics, featuring prominent speakers from private practice, industry and government.

Preceding the conference on Wednesday, Feb. 20, a joint meeting of the U.S. and Mexico branches of IFA will be held.
