Irwin Feld Design/Mid Century Antiques Teams Up With Sunbrella® For A Pretty In Pink 4 Life Promotion with all proceeds to benefit the Connecticut Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure®.
Online, July 16, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Through the sheer power of Social Media, Irwin Feld Design/Mid Century Antiques is teaming up with Sunbrella®, a leader in performance fabrics since 1961, for the sale of a spectacular Mid Century upholstered ottoman. All proceeds from the sale of the ottoman will benefit the Connecticut Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure®.
The 1960's iron ottoman has been freshly powder coated in fuchsia and reupholstered with Sunbrella® Steeplechase Malibu in a mitered pattern and accented with Canvas Hot Pink piping. It is ideal for indoor or outdoor use and measures 17 inches high with a diameter of 22 inches.
The Pretty in Pink4 Life concept originated last September when Irwin Feld Design/ Mid Century Antiques hosted a fall networking event in the gallery. With a gathering of some of Fairfield County 's (and beyond) "Best & Brightest" during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the firm decided to use the event to raise awareness as well as funds for Komen for the Cure, CT. A fabulous Mid Century Modern chrome bench was polished and reupholstered in Pink and offered for sale with ALL proceeds to benefit Komen CT.
With the support of social media friends a loving home was found for the bench and a collaboration with Sunbrella® was established.
The Pretty in Pink 4 Life Sculptural Mid Century Ottoman from Irwin Feld Design/Mid Century Antiques is priced at $1,200 and can be found on the Irwin Feld Design website:
http://www.irwinfelddesign.com/index.cfm/product/1182_13/pretty-in-pink-4-life-mid-century-fuchsia-sculptural-ottoman.cfm
And in the gallery located at 583 Pacific Street, Stamford, CT. 203- 588-0567.
Irwin Feld Design/Mid Century Antiques is deeply committed to supporting Komen for the Cure® and as each Pretty in Pink 4 Life piece is sold, another PINK piece will be re-created.
It is the company's hope that through their efforts, they can motivate other small businesses to see that with a little imagination and a lot of perseverance, they can help raise both awareness as well as funds for lifesaving causes.
