Is Autoblogging Killing The Blogosphere?

Autoblogging is starting to make an impact online but is it affecting the established blogosphere? Two aotoblogging specialists answer this question and warn that without the proper training, it can backfire on you in a big way.

July 20th, 2010 - Autoblogging may sound like it's something out of a futuristic online world but the truth is, it's here to stay. And it's spreading it's tentacles far and wide across the internet world.

In layman's terms, autoblogging is basically the method of setting up a blog once and then virtually having it run on auto-pilot where it pulls in content from various sources automatically. Then by monetizing these blogs, the owners can reap the benefits and more importantly, be able to run dozens of blogs simultaneously.

But is autoblogging harming those who make up and participate in the blogosphere? Rich Henderson and Dean Caporella run Extreme Cash Blueprints which is a training ground for affiliate marketers and autoblogging is an essential part of their curriculum.

"No, autoblogging doesn't harm those who thrive and communicate in the blogosphere," says Henderson.

"The fact is, there is a difference between real blogging and autoblogging. Blogging was originally started as a form of making announcements to others and has developed since then. Because they are liked so much by the search engines due to their dynamic nature, they became a great platform for marketing. And during their evolution, autoblogging was born and it has essentially taken a lot of the grunt work out of maintaining a site."

Henderson, who has been autoblogging for several years now also warns that the majority of people are applying this method incorrectly. He stresses that it needs to be set up right initially.

"It can backfire on you in a big way. If you don't set them up correctly then you may as well not set them up at all. They won't get much attention from the search engines."

Henderson and Caporella have been putting a group of 50 students through a rigorous beta test for the past four months and the results have been life-changing. Extreme Cash Blueprints will officially launch on July 28th and contains nine training modules. The Autoblogging module is available for free leading up to the launch.
