SAC HOLDS SUMMIT ON “NIGERIAN MINING & AGRICULTURE” IN LONDON

The International Strategic Alliance Committee (ISAC) in collaboration with the Nigerian High Commission, United Kingdom is hosting a summit The Nigerian Mining and Agriculture summit” on April, 4 & 2016, at Queen Elizabeth Conference Centre, Westminster, in London.

The summit bring together government official's, investors, industry experts  and other stakeholders to discuss on issues and opportunities in the Mining and Agricultural sectors in Nigeria. The focus of the Summit is to create an opportunity for individuals, Nigerian government representatives and Nigerian companies within the Mining and Agriculture sector can establish  a rjoint venture partnership with technical partners and interested investors within this two sectors.

Highlighting details of the conference, a Director of ISAC Mrs. Joana Adebayo, noted, “ISAC is desirous of supporting the current administration its bid to diversify the economy and develop the mining and agriculture sectors. The summits critical areas of focus will include geophysical data capturing, mining infrastructure, mining policy initiatives, while our focus for the agricultural sector includes technology, processing and logistics”.

Mrs. Adebayo also stated, “this summit will bring together International and Nigerian stakeholders in Nigeria's mining and agricultural sectors. Invitations have been extended and we expect the attendance  of Dignitaries such as the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osibajo, Minister for Solid Minerals Development, Dr. Kayode Fayemi CON, Minister of Agriculture, Minister Chief Audu Ogbeh, the Governor of Samaria Regional Council, Mr. Yosi Dagan, Mr. Clive Carpenter, Vice President – British Council for Africa.  and many other delegates from United States, United Nations and European Countries who have interest in the Mining and Agriculture Sectors. We believe the summit will is a platform to highlight opportunities and find solutions to bottle necks in the development of the Nigerian Mining and Agriculture sectors. In particular it will give Nigeria the avenue to showcase what she has so as to attract potential investors”.

Also attending this event will be various international financial institutions with a specific interest and mandate to finance projects within such as representatives from the African Development bank, and investors in both the Mining and Agricultural sectors”.

The Summit will be concluded with a Gala Dinner/Awards night, where individuals and corporate organisations will network and showcase some of their work. Those who have made a significant impact to the Nigerian economy will be rewarded for all their positive contribution to the sectors.
