ISI Solar named as Top 30 Finalist in National Small Business Competition
A Rockland County NY "Green" small business is a contender to win a $5K grant in a national contest. ISI Solar, a solar energy company, hopes to use the winnings to promote renewable energy resources.
Online, March 29, 2010 (Newswire.com) - New City, NY (March 26, 2010) - ISI Solar, a Rockland County based company that designs and installs solar energy systems, announced today that it has been selected as one of the top thirty finalists in the VerticalResponse 'New Deal' for Small Business competition.
Members of the ISI Solar team found the contest online while researching small business initiatives. They were excited about the prospect of promoting their company and potentially winning a $5K grant, so they entered a 4 minute video highlighting their business, explaining why they do what they do, and how they would allocate the winnings.
James Albert, President and Founder of ISI Solar: "If we won, we would take that money and invest it in projects that would allow us to show the public what can be done as far as renewable energy technologies, and conservation of energy, which is the primary thing. Not everyone can install solar, but everyone can conserve energy."
