IVY Expands Beyond Its Seven-Market Experiential Base, Launches IVY Media to Deliver Free, Actionable Lessons to a New Generation of Leaders Worldwide

Helmed by New Chief Partnership Officer, IVY Media Shares Lessons From Renowned Leaders Across Entrepreneurship, Social Impact, and More.

IVY: The Social University (“IVY”), the community uniting the next generation of entrepreneurs, creatives, and innovative professionals, today launched IVY Media to facilitate learning and growth worldwide through free, actionable advice and lessons from today’s world-renowned leaders and icons. IVY Media content, recorded live from over 1,000 annual IVY experiences, is designed to spark new ideas and inspire a global audience to take positive actions in the world around them. Every week, IVY’s audience will have access to new videos and podcasts featuring actionable advice from leading minds in entrepreneurship, arts & culture, social impact, policy, wellness, philosophy, and science.

This announcement coincides with the hire of IVY’s first Chief Partnership Officer, Ian Gerard, who will spearhead IVY Media and elevate partnerships to enhance IVY’s online and offline experiences worldwide.

What IVY has achieved through its 1,000-plus annual experiences is truly phenomenal, bringing together so many next-generation innovators and creatives since its launch four years ago. IVY Media will extend the reach of these successes by bringing its fresh take on new media to a global audience that craves a new voice. If you have a desire to learn, grow, and connect with those that are pushing the envelope on a daily basis, IVY Media will be an invaluable platform for you.

“What IVY has achieved through its 1,000-plus annual experiences is truly phenomenal, bringing together so many next-generation innovators and creatives since its launch four years ago,” said Gerard. “IVY Media will extend the reach of these successes by bringing its fresh take on new media to a global audience that craves a new voice. IVY Media: Driving Connections & Impact Through Curated Content

IVY Media has the unique advantage of creating engaging content via its multiple channels — IVY TV, IVY Podcast, and IVY Magazine — through its IVY Experiences hosted across New York, D.C., Boston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Miami, and global destinations.

All IVY Media content is tailor-made for a new generation of leaders whose work, life, and passions intersect into a seamless existence. Each story goes beyond providing “food for thought” and shares quick, practical advice any viewer could implement immediately. IVY Media also includes multiple formats to help its audience digest content in the way that works best for them. This includes IVY TV’s actionable shorts to facilitate social sharing, weekly “Live from IVY” newsletters, and IVY Podcasts, formatted to engage listeners for the length of a city work commute.

At launch, IVY Media features keynotes and interviews with:

  • CEOs & Founders: Brooklinen, Chanel, charity: water, Dollar Shave Club, FEED, Gatorade, GE, Movember, SoulCycle, and WordPress;
  • Style & Cultural Icons: Brian Grazer, Caitlin Jenner, Chef Morimoto, Daymond John, DJ Kaskade, Michael Chow, and Tamara Mellon; and,
  • Education, Media & Policy Visionaries: Arthur Brooks, Laszlo Bock, Lisa Sugar, and Zalmay Khalilzad.

“IVY’s goal is to engage and inspire our generation to make a daily positive impact in their broader communities,” said Beri Meric, co-founder and CEO of IVY. “With the official launch of IVY Media, we’ll combine the depth and power of our community with a new platform to inspire leaders, innovators, and creatives worldwide to grow and make a positive change together.”

IVY Media’s audience will also have the opportunity become an IVY member to attend IVY Experiences in person to connect directly with both its thought leaders and other members alike. Aligning with IVY’s broader mission to bring together today’s leading minds to engage and inspire one another, IVY Media also plans to provide tools to help its audience share their stories with the IVY community.

Gerard Leads New Team & Direction For IVY Partnerships

Gerard, a veteran generational marketing strategist and founder of Gen Art, has served as an adviser to IVY since its 2013 launch. In addition to IVY’s current in-house content teams, key new hires include:

  • Shelby Simon, formerly of Odyssey & The Knot, to oversee content marketing;
  • Christy Wilde, formerly of Fanology, to oversee social media content and engagement; and,
  • Meghan Kelleher, formerly with Waze and KIND Snacks, to oversee public relations.
