IXI Technology Closes on Acquisition of Icarus Technologies, Inc.
YORBA LINDA, Calif., September 20, 2017 (Newswire.com) - Concurrent with its showing at the DSEI show in London this past week, IXI Technology Inc., and its subsidiary IXI Technology Electronic Warfare, LLC announced today that they have acquired all of the stock and assets of Icarus Technologies, Inc. of Long Beach California.
"The Icarus Technologies 'Drone Killer' product line will become the cornerstone of our electronic warfare product line," stated Michael Carter, President and CEO of IXI. "This new technology is the only handheld, frequency hopping, radio detection system in the world that is field programmable. The technology has demonstrated its capability in several field test environments and passed with flying colors. While the original version has many unique capabilities, we continue to research and develop improved performance for our new version due out in early 2018."
As a result of the acquisition, Daniel Hyman, the developer of the Drone Killer technology will assume an engineering position with IXI and become a critical component of the new Electronic Warfare management team. The Drone Killer product has great potential and will be maximized with this acquisition," stated Mr. Hyman.
IXI Technology is based in Yorba Linda, California and has been serving the U.S. government and its agencies for over 30 years as a mission-critical supplier of embedded systems and software. IXI operates as a service disabled veteran-owned small business.
