J Design Group Interior Design, 225 Malaga Ave., Coral Gable, FL 33134 (305-444-4611): Their creativity and style have made J Design group a name in the interior design arena. They have completed successful projects in hotel, restaurant, financial institutions, as well as many upscale homes.

J. Design Group, a Miami, Florida interior design firm, was featured in Florida Design Magazine's designed for entertaining issue. The firm was recognized for the beautiful and contemporary work they did while changing a condominium into a up-to-date and original environment for entertaining.

Interior Designer Jennifer Corredor literally started at the floor and worked her way up to create a colorful and exciting place for entertaining the guests of Steve Leibowitz, who owns the condominium.

Corredor was inspired by the oddly angled windows that go from the floor to the ceiling. She decided to work with mostly white, oranges and splashes of red. She also included as a stark contrast hues of black and lime green. "Mixing shapes, materials and patterns in bold colors simulates a lively club atmosphere and gives an out-of-the-box look," interior designer Jennifer Corredor says.

Corredor has a tremendous eye for style. The way that she took the shapes and colors and carried them throughout the whole project by tying each room together and yet each letting each be different enough to stand on its own. She also incorporated simple, creative details like changing a traditional crystal chandelier in the entry simply by draping it with sheer black fabric so that it highlights the colors in the limestone flooring.

In keeping with the lively and entertaining feel, Corredor chose a Lucite bubble chair to hang from the terrace's roof. The clasp was embedded in the concrete for durability and safety. The finishing touch was a custom-made red chair cushion. This created a place where one can sit and enjoy the beautiful view of the Intracoastal Waterway.

Corredor showed her professionalism by consulting with the owner each step of the way, but in the end, "the designer knows best," remarks Leibowitz. "It's exactly what I wanted."
