FAMED NOVELIST/SCREENWRITER IN FOR CANDID INTERVIEW

Costa Mesa, Calif. - Award-winning novelist James Ellroy will speak about his work both current and retrospectively on Saturday, November 13, 2010 beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the Regency South Coast Village Theatre located in Costa Mesa. The Orange County Screenwriters Association (OCSWA) is sponsoring the event and it is free to the public. Door prizes including script writing software will be raffled off. Ellroy will sign books after the Q&A.

Ellroy, well-known for writing the movie "LA Confidential," and creating a unique style of staccato prose, has sold millions of books around the world. His Crime Quartet, which include the novels "L.A. Confidential," "The Black Dahlia," "White Jazz," and "The Big Nowhere" have garnered him praise as the chronicler of some of the darkest parts of Los Angeles' recent past. His outspoken, controversial, and cynical worldview are sure to make this next event a memorable one.

The event is sponsored by OCSWA whose mission is to bring together the film and entertainment industries in Orange County by combing the passions and talents of local screenwriters, producers, directors, and other media professionals.
